Chicken and Broccoli Take Out Style
Makes about 2 servings.
Ingredients
- 1 chicken breast
- 2 cups broccoli florets
Marinade Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce, Low Sodium
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tsp Cornstarch
Sauce Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Soy Sauce, Low Sodium
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 3 cloves Minced Garlic
- 1 tbsp White Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Veggie Oil
- 2 tbsp Water
Process
- Whisk to combine marinade ingredients in medium bowl
- Cut chicken against the grain into thinish slices, larger than bite size
- Place cut chicken into marinade and set aside
- Add cut broccoli florets and about 3 tbsp water to a medium glass bowl and steam in microwave for 3 minutes
- Mince Garlic
- Whisk Sauce ingredients together in small bowl
- Add a splash or oil to medium/hot pan (forgo the oil if using a nonstick pan)
- Saute chicken with it’s marinade for around 5 minutes, until golden brown
- Add the sauce and steamed broccoli to the pan for around 2 minutes
- Serve over rice
Notes
- Serve over jasmine or brown rice- I start my rice cooker before I begin to get any ingredients out, so that it is done at the same time.
